Although I am going on vacation to Asia, my book on US Route 1 is in the back of my mind.
Always in the market for picking up new research and information, here is a tidbit!
I came across an article from the Portland (Maine) Museum of Art. The article is about a photographer, Berenice Abbott (1898-1991).
Apparently during the summer of 1954 Berenice and two companions went off on a Route 1 tour and recorded images of US Route 1.
I have not been able to find any such book - but did find that somehow the
Syracuse University of Art has some input.
Will have to explore this at a later time!
