My world today!

I am going to attempt to transfer pictures directly from my camera to this blog.

If you see anything unusual -not to worry - I am experimenting!

In addition:

During my years I have always had a fascination with knitting.  I learned to knit from my mother at 4 years old.  During my teen years, I used knitting to design my own clothing.  At the time my mother won a Singer sewing machine and with it came lessons.  I was dispatched to the lessons.  I was somewhat reluctant to do this but by the time 2 weeks had passed, I understood that I could make anything I wanted with the knitting and sewing skills I had acquired.

My 20's found me travelling the world with my US Army husband. I loved that life!  The travelling, acquisition of new skills, unearthing all I could about needlecraft in various parts of the world became an addiction. Sort of like loving chocolate!  I still don't love chocolate as much as I love wandering the world.

As we moved, we acquired children. The 1st, my son, was born in Berlin, Germany and my 2nd was born in Chitose, Japan. During my stays in both countries offered the opportunity to explore everything needleeee.  I attended machine knitting school in Chitose and added machine knitting to my needle repertoire.

I have been fortunate enough to indulge my passion for needlework, textiles and travel every 5 years or so. And, so another exploration awaits me - a knitting adventure to Asia!  More later!
